Block Renovation Associate Product Manager
Block is a platform transforming the $400 billion renovation industry. Doing a home renovation is a very stressful and hard process. Our mission is to give homeowners a better way to improve the spaces they live in, and to give contractors a better way to work.
Block simplifies the renovation process to give homeowners a reliably good experience, with certainty around outcomes, quality, price, and time. Responsibilities
As an Associate Product Manager at Block, you will partner with engineering, design, and the cross-functional team to create elegant solutions that balance business goals, customer delight, and platform stability.
You’ll push the envelope on what is possible through a deep understanding of the problems and the data underlying them. Your work will be an essential contribution to scaling our renovation platform.
Once Here, You Will
- Develop a deep understanding of the Block renovation ecosystem across applications
- Identify opportunities and help shape the roadmap through data analysis, user research, and cross-functional collaboration
- Foster an understanding of experimental design and methods, from quasi-experiments to A/B tests
- Help define and identify areas of friction and growth opportunities within the lead experience to develop data-driven product solutions
- Define and prioritize requirements towards a growth-oriented roadmap
- Run an agile workflow to support the product lifecycle from conception to release and beyond
- Create feedback systems and develop frameworks to improve the product discovery process
- Self-start and take ownership over the details from beginning to end
- Contribute creative solutions and help write the culture of a growing product team
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of product management experience, technical background is a bonus
- Strong grasp of agile development, UX design, user research, and product analytics
- Empathetic: champion the end-user to craft delightful experiences
- Resourceful: willingness to be scrappy to validate concepts, manage scope, and deliver results
- Clear communicator: ability to articulate priorities and keep alignment across the organization
- Evidence-based reasoning: rigor in mapping the path to a set goal through experimentation, data and user insights
- Grit: proven track record of delivering outcomes through continuous improvement
