Programmable DNA, the software of Life, is finally here! Twist Bioscience is developing a disruptive Synthetic DNA technology that will change the world, enabling widespread health and sustainability. Synthetic biologists will use our products to engineer how organisms produce cures to diseases, make everyday chemicals by using the atmosphere as the carbon source, enable plants to make their own fertilizers, and to create in-vivo diagnostics that alert us when we are sick, and many more applications.

As a Product Management intern, you will get the opportunity to learn about how software products are created, how market fit is validated, and how to analyze user behavior data. This role will contribute to our product discovery and delivery process by helping to generate, validate and then execute on new features and optimizations for key product experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own development of market-specific competitive and SWOT analysis for Twist’s existing NGS product portfolio
  • Develop proposal for long-term product roadmap in specific application area
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to evaluate current business capabilities and complementarity with roadmap proposal
  • Participate in pricing analysis and financial modeling
  • You will be heavily involved in launching new product features that millions of students will see
  • You will work alongside marketing, research, analytics, design and engineering teams in order to get a holistic experience of working in biotech
  • Work with marketing, UX, and engineering teams to define and deliver product experiments
  • Support research and discovery for new product features
  • Create user stories and product briefs to pitch new feature ideas
  • Deep dive into data to analyze, summarize, and communicate insights back to product teams regarding the existing product

  • Can work for a continuous 12 weeks in the summer
  • Can work 40 hours per week on-site
  • Experience with entrepreneurship, technology, market research, design, or related extracurricular groups
  • Working knowledge of software development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid skills in molecular biology, genomics or chemistry
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work as an individual contributor and as a team
