Are you ready to help drive a product that brings a positive impact to the world through the power of mobile, location, and augmented reality technologies? We’re looking for a Chief of Staff on our product team.

You will work directly with the Chief Product Officer and members of the Executive Leadership Team to define strategies, establish processes, craft communications, and prioritize between multiple core projects.

Additionally, you'll coordinate with product managers and cross-functional partners throughout the company and get a broad view of Niantic’s business and products. This role is a great role for someone transitioning from a business, strategy or project management background into product management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate company-level and team-level goal setting processes in partnership with Executive Leadership Team (Niantic uses OKRs to set goals).
• Support Chief Product Officer with key strategic planning processes including headcount planning and budgeting.
• Communicate strategy and strategic initiatives to the border organization and board of directors.
• Define product strategies and work with executive teams to carry out the initial phase of market analysis and product definition.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering and Technical Program Management functions to define a standardized and scalable roadmapping process and lead rollout across all product areas.
• Work with Chief Product Officer to set agenda, coordinate follow-ups, and organize key team meetings, leadership meetings, leadership offsites, and All Hands.
• Support Chief Product Officer with organizational leadership accountabilities including employee engagement initiatives and employee communication.
• Explore and manage international business partnership opportunities with various content and technology partners.
• Lead or support a variety of ad-hoc initiatives critical to the company's mission.

Qualifications

• Previous Management Consulting, Product Management, Investment Banking, or similar work experience.
• Proven quantitative, data-driven problem-solving skills and ability to break down large problems into smaller solvable chunks.
• Experience in evaluating strategic business opportunities and financial models.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Passion for emerging technology especially in AR, mobile games, location-related technologies, matched with a desire to solve difficult problems.
• Passion for creating products to make the real world better place.
• Familiarity with leading complex projects with many partners, including executives.
• Proficiency in multiple languages, especially in Japanese, is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
