About the Role

Chime is looking for a Product Analyst Intern to join our Growth Product Analytics team for Pay Friends. The Pay Friends team is on a mission to break down the barriers of sending and receiving money to build a fast, intuitive, and most engaging product experience. During the internship, you will gain valuable professional experience working with cross functional stakeholders, including other Analytics teammates, Product, Engineering, Design, User Research, Business Intelligence, Marketing, and Data Engineering to unlock product and data insights. You will conduct network analysis to gain a deep understanding of our members, help Chime drive viral growth, and lay critical data foundation to enable and scale data-driven decision making at Chime.

This role is structured as a 3 month engagement. For Colorado based roles: In accordance with applicable law, this role has a starting hourly rate of $42.00. The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Learn and execute best practices in data exploration, analysis, and visualization.
  • Conduct a deep dive into Chime’s member networks, connectivity, and virality.
  • Learn and collaborate with the analytics team and cross-functional stakeholders on the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation, experimentation, to launch.
  • Document foundational knowledge and resources on member networks for the team, including metrics definitions, data tables, and analyses.

To thrive in this role, you have

  • Currently pursuing a PhD degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative fields from an accredited college or university.
  • Coursework and/or hands-on experience with a focus on data exploration and analysis using SQL and Python.
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Passion for learning and leveraging data, insights, and technology to solve problems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Passion for consumer FinTech.
  • Bonus: experience with tools such as Looker, Tableau, Optimizely, or Amplitude.
