To support our accelerating growth, Redesign is seeking a Portfolio Operations Associate. Working closely with members of our Strategy & Finance and Capital Development teams, you will be responsible for supporting Redesign's fund administration processes, including capital calls and distributions across multiple investment vehicles. In this position you will play a critical role in building scalable processes to support the Redesign portfolio and our investors.

This role will maintain the data integrity of Redesign's investor portal / CRM, assist with investor communications, and will support investor reporting, fund accounting, and audit workstreams.

You will report to and work with our Equity Valuation Lead remotely, unless you are located in the NYC area and prefer to work in our office.

What you'll do:

Own Redesign's Fund Administration Procedures:

  • Execute capital calls and distributions for Redesign investment vehicles.
  • Maintain data integrity of Redesign's investor portal (Altvia/Salesforce), and ensure internal monitoring tools are up to date with accurate company and investor data.
  • Issue capital call and distribution notices to investors, following up as needed, and coordinate investor questions and requests, redirecting to appropriate parties as needed.
  • Assist with monitoring and reconciling bank accounts, and initiate bank wires.
  • Assist with other fund administration and bookkeeping responsibilities.
  • Assist with preparing audit documentation and fulfilling audit requests, collecting and inputting transactional data into our CRM and portfolio monitoring database, onboarding new vehicles onto Redesign's investment portal, and assisting with valuation process work as needed.

Improve Existing and Implement New Processes:

  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing systems, policies, work processes and procedures, with an emphasis on building for scale.
  • Position Redesign for rapid scale, in anticipation of accelerating operating company and investment vehicle launches.
  • Propose technology and process improvements, communicating cross-functionally as needed.
  • Other projects as assigned.

What you'll need:

Background

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar fund or portfolio administration position at a private equity firm, venture capital firm, or hedge fund, with direct experience managing capital calls and distributions, and managing investor communications.
  • Experience in managing investor capital account balances, and familiarity with fund accounting concepts.
  • Experience collecting and maintaining company and investor data.
  • Experience leveraging bank portals, including account setup, wires, and reconciliations.
  • Prior experience in Salesforce, iLevel, and fund accounting software (e.g., Investran, Allvue, eFront) is a plus, but not required.
