The Role

a16z is excited to welcome an intern to support the management, operations, and growth of our communities in Summer 2022. This role will support the team with multiple strategic projects over the course of 4 months, all playing a major role in both the team and firm’s key initiatives.

• Community Management
• Develop a system for managing the member database to ensure integrity of the data. Ultimately, creating a single source of truth.
• Gathering an understanding of the interests of our community members, to deliver the most relevant information and programming.
• Content Database
• Responsible for assisting in the development of our v1 of our community content product, which will deliver the most pertinent information to our community members (across a diverse range of topics).
• Create a bank of resources for topics of interest, as well as a system for sourcing content.
• General
• Support the team in community efforts, including digital and IRL programming.
• Constantly considering, sharing, and implementing new ways to improve our products and processes
• Learn how to develop data management systems, V1s of products, community management, and much more.

Minimum Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Graduate Student
• Self-starter, creative problem solver, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with, manage and organize large sets of data
• Strong communicator with genuine excitement for bringing people together
• Investigate new tools and identify opportunities for efficiency
