Maven’s Global Strategy & Operations team is responsible for building operational capabilities to serve international members & clients. As part of the work the team maintains Maven’s “wikis” – our internal knowledge-base about the health systems in over 60 countries around the world which support our Care Team and Maven Providers. The Global Strategy & Operations team is looking for an undergraduate intern to help us expand the coverage of our global knowledge-base to support our rapidly growing ex-US membership. We are looking for an undergraduate intern to join us full time for 10 weeks between mid-May and the end of August 2022. This is a paid internship opportunity.

Applications for this role will be collected and reviewed on a rolling basis until March 25th.

As an Intern, Global Strategy & Operations at Maven, you will:

  • Conduct research on the health systems impacting women & families around the world including the general structure of the healthcare system, prenatal care & delivery norms, pediatric care, parental leave policies, childcare options, adoption, surrogacy and fertility laws and coverage, and LGBTQIA+ rights and family building
  • Draft, review and revise country-level “wikis” based on your research
  • Track changes in regulatory environments and ensure updates are made in corresponding resources
  • Develop a database of service providers to support Maven’s Family Building members outside of the US including fertility clinics, adoption agencies, surrogacy agencies, and law firms
  • Participate in meetings relevant to Maven’s global operations
  • Learn from a fast-paced start-up environment in the growing digital healthcare industry

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate students who have completed at least four semesters of undergraduate coursework (not including AP classes in high school)
  • Majoring in global health, international development, global affairs, or a related field with an interest in global health
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong research skills and ability to summarize findings in a clear & concise manner
  • Experience living, working or studying outside of the US or in a cross-cultural environment (optional, not required)
  • Fluency in a language other than English (optional, not required)

Helpful experiences and skills (if you don’t have them, you can learn them with us!):

  • Knowledge of key trends in the healthcare industry, particularly in women’s and family health
  • NOTE: Interns are not eligible for the full benefits package listed below for Maven FTE; applicable benefits will be discussed***
