About The Team

The Consumer and Product Communications team is seeking a remote, full-time, summer intern.

The Consumer & Product Communications Intern reports to the Manager, Product and Consumer Communications and works closely with the broader marketing team to support consumer and product communication efforts. This position will play a role in supporting the narrative for upcoming launches, integrated marketing campaigns and cultural moments. This includes building out media audits, drafting and pitching media on new initiatives, developing prep materials for product launches and drafting blog posts. The intern supports the consumer and product team to effectively increase awareness for Robinhood products and the brand.

What You’ll Do Day-to-day

  • Support the Consumer and Product PR team with variety of external initiatives
  • Develop press materials, including blog posts, key messages, pitches, briefing documents, coverage reports
  • Support event development and planning
  • Participate in PR planning and strategy conceptualization
  • Staying up-to-date on industry news and trends
  • Assist with research projects

About You

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or a related field
  • Graduating in December 2022 or Spring/Summer 2023
  • Strong writer who can develop materials without significant editing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive and collaborative personality; an ownership mindset and commitment to be as successful as possible
  • Ability to multi-task and work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) and influencer marketing
  • An interest in developing experience in strategic response and crisis communications
  • Ability to collaborate with PR & Communications, Customer Service, legal response teams, and external agencies during incidents to mitigate reputational risk in any customer communications
  • Desire to help build best-practice guides for crisis response for the entire organization

  • A passion for Robinhood and/or FinTech industry/investing is a plus
  • Previous internship experience a plus
