WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

Product Analytics at Box plays a key part in building increased understanding of our products, our customers, and our business so that we can help our teammates make better data-driven decisions. We work cross-functionally to develop and share insights, combining qualitative understanding and quantitative analysis. As an intern, you’ll be embedded as a member of the Product Analytics team where you’ll have an opportunity to work with high-caliber individuals to drive strategic and operational improvements at our company.

As a Product Analyst intern at Box, you will have a direct and meaningful impact as you collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, designers, customer success managers, and product managers to develop improvements to Box products. You will dive into analytics data, help formulate hypotheses about user behavior, and help devise new experiments to validate these hypotheses, and drive adoption and engagement. Along with the rest of the product team, you will present your findings to product managers and product leaders to discuss strategy and present results. This role is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for solving ambiguous problems, optimizing processes, and scaling businesses using analytical and general management skills.

What You'll Do

  • You will develop a deep understanding of the Box products, further strengthen your analytics, leadership and presentation skills, and gain exposure to a wide variety of functional teams within Box
  • Aggregate data from various sources to construct streamlined data pipelines using Snaplogic
  • Identify key metrics and build executive-facing reports to track progress of product impact on Box business
  • Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data driven decision-making
  • Lead and participate in special projects/initiatives innovate and implement large-scale quality improvements to processes and/or systems by conducting data analysis and making recommendations

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Graduating between December 2022 - June 2023
  • Experience with software packages such as Python, Tableau, R and data querying tools such as SQL
  • Exposure to basic statistics concepts, such as basic probability, distributions, confidence intervals
  • Strong communication skills and experience in collaborating with people from different technical disciplines & languages and within different geographies & time zones
  • Desire to absorb complex subjects and distill in to an easily digestible form for other team members
  • Above all, we're looking for someone who's creative and has a can-do attitude, a lot of grit, and is looking to make an impact

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until filled. The internship will be fully virtual for Summer 2022, due to circumstances with COVID-19.
