About The Team

The External Affairs & Community (XAC) team is focused on bringing Robinhood’s mission to life through meaningful stakeholder engagement and innovative social impact. We aim to add another dimension to why people turn to Robinhood: our mission, our commitment to expand financial access, and our positive force to transform lives around the world. Through innovative ideas, meaningful engagements, and strong partner relationships, we aim to drive inclusivity in the financial sector.

We are looking for a current college student to join in the Fallas a part-time intern, to provide valuable support to the team! As part of the External Affairs & Community team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to learn about the range of work we do to drive our mission forward, from building our ESG program to facilitating our stakeholder and third-party relationships. You’ll also gain exposure and experience across different cross-functional teams, including legal, communications, government affairs, design, and creative & brand strategy. You’ll be supported by an incredible group of experts to help you begin your journey as an external affairs professional and broaden your view of the industry.

What You’ll Do Day-to-day

  • Lead community partner research to identify new organizations for Robinhood to establish meaningful relationships with.
  • Assess strategic engagements with external stakeholder groups.
  • Assist the team in developing campaigns related to financial literacy and meaningful events.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Environmental Social Governance (ESG) at Robinhood to support our creative approach to ESG.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to help us accomplish our sustainability related goals.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly ESG updates for senior leadership.
  • Voice your invaluable perspective and provide critical feedback to our ongoing projects and workstreams
  • Support the execution of community programming and events, including nonprofit programming and customer community engagements
  • Conduct an overarching intern project evaluating community partnership programs and present findings broadly across the organization

About You

  • Working towards Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Passionate about Robinhood’s efforts to expand financial access for all
  • Interested in conducting research, engaging cross-functionally, and balancing multiple projects for different workstreams at any given time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a close attention to detail
  • Eager to chip in your unique point of view
  • Low ego, high EQ, a great teammate who takes initiative and works collaboratively
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and virtual environment
  • Self-starter and ambitious learner who is comfortable with ambiguity
  • Strong judgment and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail
