About The Role

Docker’s Strategic Finance function is a lean, growing team responsible for driving a broad spectrum of activities across FP&A business partnership, corporate finance, and cross-functional business operations and analytics initiatives.

We are looking for a strategic-thinker and team player to scope, build and operationalize the financial data, analytics and underlying models to support Docker’s next stage of growth. The ideal candidate will have a humble and collaborative “roll-up-the-sleeves” approach to tackling complex business problems. This role will work cross-functionally to translate insights into action, wrangle large data sets, translate business drivers into financial forecasts and distill key learnings into structured frameworks to drive strategic planning and initiatives.

In addition to being a core member of the Strategic Finance team, this role will be a key contributor to the centralized Business Operations team, representing the Finance “spoke” and helping to scale Docker’s financial/data infrastructure and sources of truth for critical business metrics and insights.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities, develop hypotheses, and implement in-depth analyses and structured frameworks to support the growth of the business
• Drive a culture of performance management with real time dashboards, critical metrics, and insights into emerging trends
• Develop cross functional partnerships and conversations across the company to review growth drivers, set targets and evaluate performance
• Develop and evangelize a deep understanding of Docker’s end user funnel
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and support ad-hoc initiatives spanning finance, strategy and business operations
  
  

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of B2B SaaS businesses, metrics, and customer lifecycle
• Previous experience in investment banking, VC/PE, Strategic Finance, Business Operations, Management Consulting or related fields
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Proven ability to translate insights into action, working with large data sets, translating business drivers into financial forecasts and distilling key learnings into structured frameworks to drive strategic planning and initiatives
• Strong financial modeling experience and a willingness to dig into the details is a must
• Highly organized and effective planning and prioritizing skills
• Proficient in SQL
